Who

We launched Home2Home Settlements in 2007, having migrated to Adelaide in 2003 with our teenage sons.  Unlike some, we had visited the area before actually migrating, and knew people who already lived here.  We found it invaluable to have someone who knew Adelaide and could show us around whilst answering some of the many questions we had.  We want to make sure everyone has that opportunity as there are so many things you cannot foresee.  That's why Home2Home was born.

We chose to settle in the North East because of its beauty, convenient locality and booming economy.  We are 20 minutes from the City business centre, and just 30 minutes from the beaches or the wonderful Barossa Wine Region.  Home2Home's expertise, therefore, lies in the suburbs on this side of town.  Whether you are drawn to the leafy exclusivity of North Adelaide, the hilly reaches of Tea Tree Gully, or the cosmopolitan surroundings of Mawson Lakes, we can offer valuable information and advice for your relocation.

Since arriving, we have encountered first hand the difficulties which often face newly-arrived migrants - some of the nightmares you are probably stressing about right now!  Our on-arrival accommodation fell through, we were left with nowhere to live, no furniture for weeks – and then the homesickness really set in ...

We know that there is no-one better placed to help others considering the same journey than us, having been there, done it and come out the other side a lot wiser, more confident and knowledgeable. 

During our four years in Adelaide we have built up a wide circle of friends and contacts - from families with children of all ages to professional couples with maybe just a dog to worry about!  Home2Home Settlements can offer you the peace of mind of knowing that you are not alone. Why

We had already been linking up with families in the UK who were thinking about making the move, and realised we could use our experience to help even more people migrate successfully. 

Adelaide is a city where networking is the key to success, and using Home2Home's already established social and professional networks means you don't have to start on the bottom rung of the ladder.
